Why Does Yahoo Ask To Sign In After Writing My Email And Hitting Send?

Posted on December 7th, 2009

Okay, sometimes I’ve been signed in and working on my emails and after hitting send it will ask for my password. After I enter my password, it sends me back to my Inbox but the email I wrote is not sent and is gone. If Yahoo wants to check my password again can’t it do that before it lets me start writing my message or at least send me back to where I left off?

Well a setting needs to be changed so that you can type in your password only once a day or until you click on Sign Out.
Here is how you can do this -
Login to your yahoo mail account and click on “Options” on the top right hand side of the page. Select “Mail Options”.
On the next page click on “Account Information” and enter your password. Once you do this you will see your Yahoo! ID card.
In the “Member Information” line you can find “Edit” link. Click on it and you will find “Prompt for Password:” setting. Click on the drop down and select Every Day.
Click on “Finished” button and again click on “Finished” button in the next page.
Now you can write emails and Yahoo will not ask for the password.
    All the best!
