What is noticed by the listener is the efforts you are making to speak, the whole point of speaking is to get some meaning across, if you can achieve that i doesn't matter what grammatical errors you might make. The only way to improve on that is to overcome your shy-ness, mistakes just tend to disappear with practice. Everyone knows that people learning will make mistakes, it's not something to worry about. If you do get an unpleasant reaction from your listener then there is no need o take it too seriously or personally, just move on, ignore it. However you can become very good at English, not quite like a native English speaker but fluent, if you immerse yourself completely in the language: it's the fastest way to learn. Talk with people, read books, lots of them. Don't be afraid to make mistakes when you're talking: apologise and ask for any corrections needed to your English; most people will be happy to help.
